KS Gabriele Sima Singing Scholarship

1st prize: scholarship € 500,—/month

2nd prize: scholarship € 300,—/month

(Duration: 12 months each, starting on 1 September 2023)

Audition: Mon, 3 June 2024, 14:00 (MUK.studio)

Conditions of participation:

Eligible are bachelor and master students of the MUK's Voice and Opera programme. A jury consisting of members of the MUK and external persons will evaluate the video applications and subsequently announce the two winners after the audition.

Content of the application:

• A complete CV (German or English) as a PDF.
• A dated audio sample/recording in a standard video format. The application video may only be uploaded on video platforms (e.g. Dailymotion, Vimeo, Youtube, etc.) and must be freely accessible (e.g. upload as "not listed" in Youtube).
• The recording must include two works: a song of free choice and a work by Mozart/a German song.
• A letter of motivation (German or English) as a PDF of approx. one A4 page explaining the eligibility or need for a scholarship.
• Please send the entire application in one e-mail (incl. PDFs and link to the video).
• Three works must be prepared for the audition. The submitted works from the video application may also be used for this purpose.
